Evan Davis has hosted the British series Dragon's Den since its launch.
Davis became the programme's presenter when the BBC version began in 2005. His role is to introduce the entrepreneurs, explain the pitch setting, and provide continuity around the discussions between business owners and the Dragons.
He is also known for his work as a BBC journalist and broadcaster. Before and alongside Dragon's Den, Davis presented programmes including the BBC Radio 4 current-affairs programme Today and the television discussion programme Newsnight.
The investor panel has changed substantially during the show's run, while Davis has provided a continuing link between different eras. This is why viewers sometimes remember different Dragons more readily than the presenter. Adrian Chiles was associated with other BBC factual and entertainment programmes, but he is not the long-term Dragon's Den host.
