The British business series Dragons' Den originally broadcast on BBC Two.
The programme is a British adaptation of the Japanese format Money Tigers. Entrepreneurs present business ideas to a panel of wealthy investors, known as dragons, hoping to secure investment in exchange for an ownership stake. BBC Two became the show's original home when the British version launched in 2005.
The channel is an important part of the programme's broadcasting history, although episodes and related material have also appeared through BBC services and online platforms. BBC One is the BBC's main general-interest channel, so it is a common mix-up, but it was not the original channel for Dragons' Den.
The programme's format later inspired or paralleled adaptations in several countries, including Canada's Dragons' Den and the United States' Shark Tank. The British series is produced for the BBC and focuses on negotiations as well as the entrepreneurs' pitches.
