BBC Two has broadcast the British series Dragon's Den since its 2005 launch.
The programme was created for the BBC as a business and entertainment series built around entrepreneurs seeking investment. Its regular home on BBC Two helped give the format a distinct place in British television, alongside factual, documentary and comedy programming on the channel.
The channel is an important detail because Dragon's Den is often grouped generally with BBC programmes without its original network being named. It is also easy to confuse the British series with international adaptations, including the United States version Shark Tank and versions produced in Canada, Australia and elsewhere. The British series remains identified with the BBC and its Dragon-branded investment panel.
