BBC Two first broadcast the UK television programme Dragon's Den.
The British version premiered on BBC Two in January 2005. The channel became associated with factual entertainment, documentaries, comedy and specialist programming, making it a natural home for a business format built around entrepreneurs and investment negotiations.
Dragon's Den’s BBC Two run helped establish the programme before later scheduling and channel arrangements changed. The channel question concerns the original UK broadcast home, not every platform or repeat showing that has carried episodes since. BBC iPlayer, for example, is a streaming service rather than the channel that first transmitted the programme.
BBC One is a frequent wrong answer because it is the BBC’s main general-interest channel and later programmes from the franchise have reached broad audiences. BBC Three is also incorrect: it launched in 2003 but was aimed at younger viewers. Channel 4 has broadcast other business and entrepreneurship programmes, but it did not premiere Dragon's Den.
