Dezolve contributed external arrangements to Mario Kart World's soundtrack. Members of the Japanese jazz-fusion band were among the outside composers who worked on portions of the score.
Their involvement marked the first time in the Mario Kart series that Nintendo collaborated with external composers to arrange parts of the soundtrack. The core music team was led by Atsuko Asahi and included several Nintendo composers.
Dezolve should not be confused with T-Square, another Japanese jazz-fusion group connected with the soundtrack. Satoshi Bandoh and Masato Honda of T-Square supplied additional overdubs, while Dezolve is the band specifically identified as contributing external arrangements.
