Which attraction near Hackberry, Arizona, is a preserved Route 66 general store filled with vintage signs and vehicles?

The story behind the answer

Hackberry General Store near Hackberry, Arizona, is a preserved Route 66 general store filled with vintage signs and vehicles.

The business began as a service station and store serving travelers on the Arizona section of Route 66. After the highway lost through traffic to Interstate 40, the property declined. It was later revived as a nostalgic roadside attraction and became known for its collection of old automobiles, gasoline pumps, signs, and Route 66 memorabilia.

Hackberry General Store is not the same attraction as the Jack Rabbit Trading Post near Joseph City or the Snow Cap Drive-In in Seligman. All three use colorful roadside imagery, but they are in different Arizona communities and have different histories.

The store’s displays intentionally preserve the visual language of mid-century highway travel. Its appeal comes from the combination of original roadside structures, abandoned vehicles, advertising signs, and desert surroundings.
