Which Assassin's Creed protagonist defects from the Brotherhood and becomes a Templar?
Answer
Shay Patrick Cormac
Answer
Shay Patrick Cormac
Shay Patrick Cormac is the Assassin's Creed protagonist who defects from the Brotherhood and becomes a Templar. His story is told in Assassin's Creed Rogue, set mainly in the North Atlantic and North American colonies during the Seven Years' War.
Shay begins as an Assassin trained under Achilles Davenport. After a disastrous mission involving an ancient artifact causes a devastating earthquake in Lisbon, Shay loses faith in the Brotherhood's methods and leaves. He eventually joins the Templars and hunts former allies.
Shay is distinct from Haytham Kenway, who is already a Templar at the beginning of Assassin's Creed III. Charles Lee and Germain are Templar figures, but neither is Rogue's playable protagonist.
