Which Assassin's Creed game was the first to feature the playable Assassin Aveline de Grandpré?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed III: Liberation was the first game to feature the playable Assassin Aveline de Grandpré.

Aveline is a French-African Assassin active in 18th-century Louisiana. The game follows her fight against Templar influence and slavery in and around New Orleans, the bayou, and other parts of the region.

Liberation was originally released for the PlayStation Vita in 2012. It used Aveline's different outfits as a gameplay system: an Assassin persona, a refined lady persona, and a servant persona each provided different social and practical advantages.

Aveline later appears in expanded franchise material, but Liberation remains her debut and principal starring role. Freedom Cry instead centers on Adéwalé, while Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China stars Shao Jun and Rogue stars Shay Cormac.
