Which Assassin's Creed game was the first to feature a playable modern-day protagonist named Layla Hassan?
Answer
Assassin's Creed Origins
Answer
Assassin's Creed Origins
Assassin's Creed Origins was the first Assassin's Creed game to feature Layla Hassan as a playable modern-day protagonist.
Layla is an Abstergo researcher who becomes involved with the Assassin cause after using a modified Animus to investigate memories from ancient Egypt. Her modern-day storyline frames the historical campaign of Bayek and introduces a new direction for the present-day narrative.
Origins was released in 2017 after a year-long break for the main series. Its modern sections are more interactive than those in several immediately preceding games, allowing players to explore Layla's surroundings and interact with equipment.
Layla later appears in Odyssey and Valhalla, but those appearances do not make either game her introduction. Players can also experience ancient Greece in Odyssey through Kassandra or Alexios, while Origins centers its historical story on Bayek.
