Which Assassin's Creed game was the first to feature a fully explorable ancient Egypt?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Origins was the first Assassin's Creed game to feature a fully explorable ancient Egypt.

Released in 2017, Origins presents a large open world covering regions such as Siwa, Alexandria, Memphis, the Nile Delta, and the Giza area. Its setting is the Ptolemaic Kingdom during the first century BCE, when Egyptian, Greek, and Roman cultures intersected under the rule of Cleopatra and Ptolemy XIII.

The game uses Bayek of Siwa's investigation to connect its historical world with the creation of the Hidden Ones. It also introduced a major redesign of combat and progression, including equipment levels, ability trees, loot, and a more open-ended quest structure.

Odyssey later explored ancient Greece, while Valhalla focused on Viking-era England and Norway. Mirage returned to ninth-century Baghdad. Those games share the franchise's historical approach, but Origins was the entry that first offered this large-scale, explorable ancient Egyptian world.
