Which Assassin's Creed game was the first main series title developed by Ubisoft Quebec?
Answer
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Answer
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Assassin's Creed Syndicate was the first main series title developed by Ubisoft Quebec.
Ubisoft Quebec led development of Syndicate, which was released in 2015. The game is set in Victorian London and follows the twin Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye as they fight to weaken Templar influence and criminal control across the city.
Syndicate introduced several major gameplay features, including a grappling hook, horse-drawn carriage activities, and the ability to switch between Jacob and Evie during much of the campaign. Its London map includes locations such as Westminster, the City of London, and Whitechapel.
Ubisoft Montreal had led development of several earlier mainline entries, including Assassin's Creed III and Unity. Ubisoft Quebec later developed Assassin's Creed Odyssey, but Odyssey was not the studio's first mainline Assassin's Creed game. The distinction concerns lead development, not every studio that contributed support work.
