Which Assassin's Creed game, released in 2013, stars pirate captain Edward Kenway?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, released in 2013, stars pirate captain Edward Kenway.

Edward Kenway is a Welsh privateer and pirate who becomes involved with the Assassin-Templar conflict in the early eighteenth century. The game follows his adventures across the Caribbean, combining land-based stealth with ship combat, exploration, and piracy. Edward is also the father of Haytham Kenway and the grandfather of Ratonhnhaké:ton, the protagonist of Assassin's Creed III.

Black Flag is set mainly during the Golden Age of Piracy, around 1715. Its map includes islands and coastal settlements in the Caribbean, while historical pirates such as Blackbeard, Calico Jack, and Anne Bonny appear in the narrative.

The title is sometimes shortened to Black Flag, but its official title includes the series name and the Roman numeral IV. It is also distinct from Assassin's Creed Rogue, which follows Shay Patrick Cormac and was released the following year.
