Which Assassin's Creed game is set primarily in Victorian-era London and uses a grappling hook?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is the Assassin's Creed game set in Victorian-era London that uses a grappling hook.

Syndicate takes place in 1868, when London was being reshaped by industrialization, rail transport, and expanding urban districts. The Frye twins use a rope launcher, commonly described as a grappling hook, to reach rooftops and cross wide streets more quickly than earlier protagonists could.

The device changes traversal by allowing a character to attach to buildings and create a zipline between elevated points. It also helps the player board trains and navigate the city's vertical spaces.

The weapon is not the same as the rope dart used in some other Assassin's Creed games. Unity focuses on revolutionary Paris and does not feature Syndicate's rope launcher. The hook is therefore closely associated with Syndicate's industrial London setting and its faster, more gadget-driven movement.
