Which Assassin's Creed game is set primarily in Rome and features the Borgia family?
Answer
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Answer
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is set primarily in Rome and features the Borgia family.
Released in 2010, Brotherhood continues Ezio Auditore's story after Assassin's Creed II. Its main setting is Rome, where Ezio works to weaken the Borgia family's political and military control. Rodrigo Borgia and his son Cesare are central antagonists in the narrative.
The game expands the series' Brotherhood concept. Ezio can recruit and train new Assassins, then call on them during missions. This system reflects his changing role from individual assassin to leader of a larger organization.
Brotherhood also introduced the series' first major competitive multiplayer mode. Players controlled Templar agents in stealth-focused matches rather than directly continuing the single-player story. The game is the middle entry in the trilogy centered on Ezio, followed by Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
