Which Assassin’s Creed game is set primarily in Rome and features Ezio Auditore?
Answer
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood
Answer
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is the Ezio game set primarily in Rome.
Released in 2010, Brotherhood continues Ezio Auditore’s story after Assassin’s Creed II. Much of the campaign takes place in Rome, where Ezio works to weaken the Borgia family and rebuild the local Assassin Brotherhood.
The game expanded the series with a recruitment system: Ezio could find and train new Assassins, then call on them during missions. Rome also functions as a large interconnected open world, with districts gradually restored as Borgia control is removed.
Assassin’s Creed II visits several Italian cities, including Florence, Venice, and Rome, but its main story is not centered on Rome. Revelations later takes Ezio to Constantinople, while Unity is set in Paris. Brotherhood also introduced a standalone competitive multiplayer mode, separate from its single-player historical campaign.
