Which Assassin's Creed game is set primarily in revolutionary Paris?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Unity is set primarily in Paris during the French Revolution.

The game follows Arno Dorian, a French Assassin who becomes involved in the political and personal turmoil surrounding the Revolution. Its historical period begins in 1789, when the storming of the Bastille and other upheavals dramatically changed France. Paris serves as the game's principal open-world environment, with landmarks, crowds, interiors, and districts representing the revolutionary city.

Unity is sometimes confused with Assassin's Creed Syndicate because both games take place in major European capitals and feature dense urban environments. Syndicate is set in London during the Industrial Revolution, while Unity focuses on late-eighteenth-century Paris.

Released in 2014, Unity was the first main series game designed for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One generation. It also introduced cooperative missions that allowed multiple players to work together as Assassin characters.
