Which Assassin's Creed game is set primarily in China during the Ming dynasty?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China is set primarily in China during the Ming dynasty.

The 2015 side-scrolling action game follows Shao Jun, an Assassin returning to China after training with Ezio Auditore. Its story begins in 1526 and concerns Shao Jun's effort to rebuild the Chinese Brotherhood after the Eight Tigers destroy much of it.

The game uses a stylized 2.5D presentation rather than the fully open-world structure of the main console entries. Its levels draw on Chinese architecture, landscapes, and political history while retaining stealth, platforming, and assassination mechanics.

The title is part of the Chronicles trilogy. Chronicles: India follows Arbaaz Mir in nineteenth-century India, and Chronicles: Russia follows Nikolai Orelov in 1918 Russia. Those settings explain why the subtitle China is essential to the answer.
