Which Assassin's Creed game is set mainly in Rome and follows Ezio's fight against the Borgias?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is set mainly in Rome and follows Ezio's fight against the Borgias.

Released in 2010, Brotherhood continues Ezio Auditore's story after Assassin's Creed II. Its main setting is Renaissance Rome, where Ezio works to weaken the Borgia family and rebuild the Assassin Brotherhood.

The game introduced a recruit-and-command system that lets Ezio enlist people and train them as Assassins. It also expanded the series' multiplayer component, allowing players to hunt targets as members of different factions.

Assassin's Creed II visits several Italian cities but is not primarily a Rome-based game. Revelations moves Ezio to Constantinople, while Assassin's Creed III shifts to colonial North America. The Borgia conflict therefore points specifically to Brotherhood.
