Which Assassin’s Creed game is primarily set in Rome and follows Ezio’s fight against the Borgia family?
Answer
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
Answer
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is primarily set in Rome and follows Ezio Auditore’s fight against the Borgia family.
Released in 2010, Brotherhood continues the story of Ezio after Assassin’s Creed II. Ezio travels to Rome, which is controlled by the powerful Borgia family, led by Rodrigo Borgia and his son Cesare Borgia. The game focuses on rebuilding the Assassin Brotherhood and weakening Borgia control across the city.
Rome is more than a backdrop in Brotherhood. Ezio can liberate districts, recruit and train new Assassins, and restore shops and landmarks. The game also introduced a larger strategic role for the Brotherhood, allowing recruited Assassins to undertake missions outside Rome.
Players sometimes confuse Brotherhood with Assassin’s Creed II because both feature Ezio and Renaissance Italy. Assassin’s Creed II spans several Italian cities, while Brotherhood concentrates on Rome. Ezio’s later story concludes in Assassin’s Creed Revelations, which is mainly set in Constantinople.
