Which Assassin's Creed game introduced the protagonist Eivor?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Valhalla introduced the protagonist Eivor.

Released in 2020, Valhalla follows Eivor, a Viking who leaves Norway and becomes involved with the Hidden Ones in ninth-century England. Players can choose Eivor's presentation as male or female, while the character's name and central role remain the same.

The game combines settlement building, exploration, raids, and political alliances. Its English map includes several historical kingdoms and regions, while Norway provides the opening setting and later return points.

Valhalla is distinct from Odyssey, whose story takes place in Classical Greece and centers on a different protagonist. It also differs from Mirage, which follows Basim in ninth-century Baghdad before his later connection to Valhalla's events.
