Which Assassin's Creed game introduced the playable city of Victorian London?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Syndicate introduced Victorian London as a playable city.

Released in 2015, Syndicate follows Jacob and Evie Frye as they fight Templar influence in London in 1868. The setting covers the Industrial Revolution, when factories, railways, expanding commerce, and severe social inequality transformed the city.

Players can move through districts including Westminster, the City of London, Southwark, Lambeth, and the Strand. The game also features period figures such as Queen Victoria, Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, and Alexander Graham Bell, blending historical personalities with the series' fictional conflict.

London is not the setting of Unity, even though Unity came immediately before Syndicate and also depicts a major European city. Unity takes place in Paris during the French Revolution. Rogue, meanwhile, focuses on the North Atlantic and parts of North America, while Liberation is centered primarily in eighteenth-century New Orleans.
