Which Assassin's Creed game introduced the playable character Ratonhnhaké:ton?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed III introduced the playable character Ratonhnhaké:ton.

Ratonhnhaké:ton is a Kanien'kehá:ka Assassin who is commonly called Connor. He becomes the central playable protagonist of Assassin's Creed III, which follows his life and activities during the American Revolution.

The character's name reflects his Mohawk heritage, while “Connor” is the name he uses in colonial society. His story connects Indigenous communities, colonial politics, and the Assassin–Templar conflict. The game also follows his father, Haytham Kenway, whose role creates one of the series' major family conflicts.

Ratonhnhaké:ton should not be confused with Edward Kenway, who stars in Black Flag, or Shay Cormac, who stars in Rogue. Assassin's Creed Liberation also uses the American colonial setting but centers on Aveline de Grandpré rather than Connor.
