What is the name of the ancient organization opposed by the Assassins in Assassin’s Creed Origins?

The story behind the answer

The Order of the Ancients is the ancient organization opposed by the Assassins in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Origins presents the Order as a secretive network seeking political influence and control in the Mediterranean world. Bayek and Aya investigate its members while confronting a conspiracy involving Egypt’s rulers and foreign powers.

The game’s historical setting is the first century BCE, but the Order is part of Assassin’s Creed’s fictional mythology rather than a documented ancient institution. After the events of Origins, its legacy continues through later organizations and eventually connects to the Templar Order.

The Order of the Ancients is distinct from the Cult of Kosmos in Odyssey, which operates in classical Greece. It is also not the Hidden Ones, because the Hidden Ones are the organization founded by Bayek and Aya in opposition to it.
