Which Assassin's Creed game introduced the historical figure Bayek of Siwa?
Answer
Assassin's Creed Origins
Answer
Assassin's Creed Origins
Assassin's Creed Origins introduced Bayek of Siwa. Bayek is a Medjay, or protector, from the Siwa Oasis in Ptolemaic Egypt, and the game follows his efforts to defend his people and investigate the forces behind a personal tragedy.
Origins was released in 2017 and acts as a chronological origin story for the Assassin Brotherhood. Its plot shows Bayek and Aya helping form the Hidden Ones, the organization that later develops into the Assassins. The game therefore explores the beginnings of the series' central creed rather than presenting the Brotherhood as an already-established order.
The setting is another frequent source of confusion. Odyssey takes place mainly in ancient Greece and stars Kassandra or Alexios, while Valhalla follows Eivor in Viking-era England and Norway. Mirage focuses on Basim in ninth-century Baghdad. Bayek belongs specifically to Origins and its first-century BCE Egyptian setting.
