Which Assassin’s Creed game introduced the character Shay Cormac?
Answer
Assassin’s Creed Rogue
Answer
Assassin’s Creed Rogue
Assassin’s Creed Rogue introduced Shay Cormac.
Released in 2014, Rogue follows Shay Patrick Cormac, an Assassin who becomes disillusioned with the Brotherhood after a catastrophic mission. He eventually joins the Templars and hunts former allies, making the game unusual because its protagonist changes sides during the story.
The game is set during the Seven Years’ War, mainly in the North Atlantic, the Appalachian River Valley, and New York City. Its naval gameplay builds on the systems used in Black Flag, but the colder environment introduces hazards such as freezing water and icebergs.
Rogue connects directly to Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Unity. Shay’s actions affect the Colonial Brotherhood, while the final sequence leads into the opening circumstances of Unity. The game is not the same as Liberation, whose protagonist is Aveline de Grandpré.
