Which Assassin's Creed game follows Shay Cormac, a former Assassin who joins the Templars?
Answer
Assassin's Creed Rogue
Answer
Assassin's Creed Rogue
Assassin's Creed Rogue follows Shay Cormac, a former Assassin who joins the Templars.
Released in 2014, Rogue tells the story of Shay Patrick Cormac, an Irish-American Assassin operating in the North Atlantic during the Seven Years' War. After a disastrous mission connected to an ancient Isu artifact, Shay loses faith in the Brotherhood and eventually defects to the Templars. The narrative lets players experience the Assassin-Templar conflict from the opposing side.
Rogue's setting connects several parts of the franchise. Its North Atlantic naval gameplay includes icy waters, while later chapters visit the River Valley and New York. Characters from Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag appear, and the ending leads directly into the opening context of Assassin's Creed Unity.
Rogue is not the same game as Unity, even though both were released in 2014. Unity follows Arno Dorian in revolutionary Paris, while Rogue centers on Shay's ideological change and Templar career.
