Which Assassin’s Creed game follows Bayek of Siwa in ancient Egypt?

The story behind the answer

Assassin’s Creed Origins follows Bayek of Siwa in ancient Egypt.

Released in 2017, Assassin’s Creed Origins tells the story of Bayek, a Medjay from the Siwa Oasis, and his wife Aya. Their personal tragedy draws them into conflicts that help explain the origins of the Hidden Ones, the organization that later becomes the Assassin Brotherhood.

The game depicts Egypt during the first century BCE, when Cleopatra VII and Julius Caesar are major historical figures. Its world includes Alexandria, Memphis, Cyrene, and deserts surrounding the Nile Valley.

Origins also marked a major gameplay shift for the series. It introduced stronger role-playing systems, including character levels, equipment rarity, and a more flexible combat system. Although the modern Assassin order is not yet established, the game’s title refers to its historical beginnings.
