Which Assassin’s Creed game follows Basim before he becomes a Hidden One?
Answer
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Answer
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Assassin’s Creed Mirage follows Basim before he becomes a Hidden One.
Released in 2023, Mirage is set mainly in ninth-century Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age. Basim begins the story as a street thief in Anbar and becomes involved with the Hidden Ones after leaving his old life behind. The narrative shows his training, missions, and growing understanding of the organization’s principles.
Mirage is closely connected to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla because Basim is an important character in that earlier-released game. However, Mirage is a prequel to Basim’s Valhalla story, not a sequel. Its focus on stealth, investigation, parkour, and contracts also deliberately recalls the structure of earlier Assassin’s Creed titles.
The Hidden Ones are the historical-era name used for the organization founded by Bayek and Aya in Assassin’s Creed Origins. Over later centuries, the group becomes known as the Assassins. Basim’s journey therefore takes place within the organization’s earlier history, before the later terminology becomes dominant.
