Which Assassin's Creed game first introduced the playable Assassin twins Jacob and Evie Frye?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Syndicate first introduced the playable Assassin twins Jacob and Evie Frye.

Syndicate, released in 2015, follows Jacob and Evie Frye as they fight Templar influence in London during the Industrial Revolution. The twins have different personalities and gameplay strengths: Jacob is more focused on direct combat, while Evie is more closely associated with stealth and investigation.

The campaign allows players to switch between the siblings for much of the story, although some missions specify which character is used. Their partnership is central to the narrative, which also features historical figures such as Charles Dickens, Florence Nightingale, and Alexander Graham Bell.

Syndicate is set in 1868, making it one of the latest primary historical settings in the series at its release. It is distinct from Unity, which takes place in revolutionary Paris, and from Rogue, which follows former Assassin Shay Cormac.
