Which Assassin's Creed game first introduced the Discovery Tour educational mode?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Origins first introduced the Discovery Tour educational mode.

Ubisoft released Discovery Tour: Ancient Egypt in 2018 as a free update for owners of Origins and also as a standalone educational product. It removes combat and the main game's story pressures, allowing users to explore a curated version of ancient Egypt through guided tours.

The tours cover subjects such as Egyptian customs, mummification, Alexandria, the pyramids, and daily life. Historians and museum experts contributed to the educational presentation, which uses locations and visual assets created for the game.

Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece followed for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Discovery Tour: Viking Age followed for Valhalla. Those later modes expanded the format, but Origins was the first Assassin's Creed title to receive the educational exploration experience.
