Nemo won Eurovision 2024 for Switzerland with the song “The Code.”
The 2024 final was held in Malmö, Sweden, on 11 May. Nemo performed “The Code,” a song about personal identity and self-discovery, and won with 591 points. Croatia’s Baby Lasagna finished second, while Ukraine’s alyona alyona and Jerry Heil finished third.
Nemo’s victory gave Switzerland its third Eurovision win, following victories by Lys Assia in 1956 and Céline Dion in 1988. Nemo also became the first openly non-binary winner in Eurovision history. The performance featured demanding vocal changes and a rotating circular platform, helping the entry stand out in the final.
“The Code” is not the same song as Switzerland’s 1988 winner, “Ne partez pas sans moi,” and Nemo is not a solo singer from Croatia or France, two countries associated with the leading entries in the 2024 final.
