Jay-Z features on Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love,” released in 2013.
“Drunk in Love” appears on Beyoncé, her self-titled fifth studio album, which was released without advance announcement in December 2013. The song is a sensual R&B performance built around Beyoncé’s vocals and a guest rap from Jay-Z, who was her husband and frequent musical collaborator.
The track was written by Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Timbaland, J-Roc, Noel “Detail” Fisher, Andre Eric Proctor, Brian Soko, and others. Beyoncé and Jay-Z performed it at the 2014 Grammy Awards, where the staging became one of the ceremony’s most remembered moments.
The song won Best R&B Performance at the 2015 Grammy Awards. It is sometimes confused with “Crazy in Love,” another Beyoncé-Jay-Z collaboration, but “Drunk in Love” belongs to Beyoncé’s 2013 visual album project.
