Chloe Wise created the original oil painting used on Olivia Rodrigo’s “Carve Our Names” picture-disc edition.
The special official-store vinyl features an oil painting by Canadian artist Chloe Wise, based on a photograph by Chad Moore. Wise’s painting was used for the picture-disc presentation rather than the standard album cover.
The standard cover is a separate artwork showing Rodrigo upside down on a swing against a pink-and-blue sky. That image has been compared with Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s Rococo painting The Swing, but Fragonard did not create the special vinyl painting. Chad Moore supplied the photographic basis for Wise’s work, making him another name that can be confused with the credited painter.
These distinctions matter because the album campaign used several connected visual sources: Rodrigo’s official artwork, Moore’s photograph, Wise’s painting, and the historical comparison to Fragonard.
