Which ancient wonder was dedicated to the goddess Artemis?

The story behind the answer

The Temple of Artemis was dedicated to the goddess Artemis.

The sanctuary stood at Ephesus, an important ancient city in western Anatolia. Artemis was worshipped there in a distinctive local form, and the temple became one of the largest and most celebrated buildings of the Greek world. Its monumental scale, extensive columns, and sculptural decoration helped earn it a place among the Seven Wonders.

Several temples occupied the site over time. The building usually associated with the Seven Wonders was a later reconstruction begun after an earlier temple was destroyed by fire in 356 BC. It was eventually damaged by Gothic raids in 262 AD and later dismantled, with many stones reused in other construction.

The Ephesian Artemis should not be treated as identical in every detail to the familiar Greek huntress Artemis. Her cult image and local traditions had strong Anatolian elements, which made the sanctuary especially distinctive.
