Which ancient wonder was built at Giza for the Egyptian pharaoh Khufu?

The story behind the answer

The Great Pyramid of Giza was built at Giza for the Egyptian pharaoh Khufu.

Also called the Pyramid of Cheops, it was constructed during Egypt’s Fourth Dynasty, probably in the twenty-sixth century BCE. The pyramid served as Khufu’s monumental tomb and formed the central structure of a larger funerary complex on the west bank of the Nile.

The Great Pyramid originally stood about 146.6 metres high, although erosion and the loss of its outer casing reduced its present height to roughly 138.5 metres. It was the tallest human-made structure in the world for more than 3,800 years, an achievement that reflects sophisticated surveying, quarrying, transport, and organization.

It is the only one of the traditional Seven Wonders of the Ancient World to survive substantially intact. The pyramid is the largest of the three principal pyramids at Giza; the nearby pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure were built for later rulers.
