Which Alliance race starts in the zone Teldrassil?

The Alliance race that starts in Teldrassil is the Night Elf.

Teldrassil is a gigantic world tree raised by the night elves after the Third War. It stood on an island off the northwestern coast of Kalimdor and served as the home of the night-elven people. Darnassus, their capital city, was built among its branches.

In World of Warcraft’s original starting experience, newly created Night Elf characters began in Shadowglen, a forested area within Teldrassil. Their early quests introduced night-elven culture, druidic traditions, the local wildlife, and threats such as the corrupted furbolgs. From there, players progressed through Dolanaar and toward Darnassus before continuing into wider Kalimdor.

A common mix-up is confusing Teldrassil with Azuremyst Isle, where Draenei characters began, or Dun Morogh, the starting zone for Dwarves and Gnomes. Teldrassil was later destroyed during the events of Battle for Azeroth, but Night Elves remain its canonical race association.
