Which actress portrayed ADA Kim Greylek on Law & Order: SVU?

The story behind the answer

Michaela McManus portrayed ADA Kim Greylek on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Greylek was introduced in season 10 as a replacement for Casey Novak, played by Diane Neal. Before joining the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, the character worked at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women in Washington, D.C. Her background gave her a policy-focused perspective on sex-crime prosecution.

McManus joined SVU after appearing as Lindsey Strauss on One Tree Hill. Kim Greylek first appeared in the episode “Trials” and left the series in “Lead,” when she was called back to Washington. She appeared in 13 episodes, although she was credited in 22 because of the season’s opening-credit structure.

Viewers sometimes confuse Greylek with other SVU prosecutors, especially Casey Novak or Alexandra Cabot. Greylek was a short-term ADA during season 10, while Cabot and Novak each had much longer associations with the unit.
