Which actress played ADA Jo Marlowe in SVU season 11?
Answer
Sharon Stone
Answer
Sharon Stone
Sharon Stone played ADA Jo Marlowe in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit season 11.
Marlowe was introduced late in the season after Alexandra Cabot took a leave of absence to assist rape victims in the Congo. District Attorney Jack McCoy recruited Marlowe, a former police lieutenant and one-time partner of Elliot Stabler, to serve as the unit’s temporary assistant district attorney.
Stone first appeared as Marlowe in “Torch,” the 21st episode of season 11, and returned for “Ace” and “Shattered.” The character’s history with Stabler added personal tension to her courtroom role, while later episodes revealed that she had survived aggressive cancer and a bilateral radical mastectomy.
Marlowe was not a permanent replacement for every SVU prosecutor. Gillian Hardwicke took over as the unit’s permanent ADA at the beginning of season 12. Stone’s guest run is also distinct from the longer arcs of Alexandra Cabot, Casey Novak, and later prosecutors such as Rafael Barba.
