Which actress played Lwaxana Troi on TNG?

Majel Barrett played Lwaxana Troi on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Barrett’s Lwaxana Troi is the flamboyant Betazoid ambassador and mother of Enterprise counselor Deanna Troi. She first appears in the TNG episode “Haven,” arriving aboard the Enterprise for her daughter’s arranged wedding. Her blunt personality, telepathy, extravagant titles, and determined pursuit of romance often leave Deanna embarrassed and Captain Picard eager to escape her attention.

The character was played by Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, who was already deeply connected to Star Trek. She had appeared in the original pilot as Number One, portrayed Nurse Christine Chapel in the original series, and frequently supplied the voice of Starfleet computers. She was also married to Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry.

Lwaxana appeared in six TNG episodes and later returned for three episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, where she developed an unusual friendship with Odo. The role is sometimes confused with Marina Sirtis, who played Deanna Troi, Lwaxana’s daughter. Gates McFadden played Dr. Beverly Crusher, while Whoopi Goldberg played Guinan.
