Which actress played Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man films?

Emma Stone played Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man films. Stone portrayed Gwen in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), where Gwen is Peter Parker’s classmate, love interest, and an academically gifted student working at Oscorp.

This version of Gwen differs from the character’s earlier live-action appearance in Spider-Man 3 (2007), where Bryce Dallas Howard played her. In Marc Webb’s films, Gwen is more deeply integrated into the story: she helps Peter investigate the Lizard’s threat, understands scientific details surrounding Connors’s serum, and becomes an important partner rather than merely a romantic subplot.

Stone and Andrew Garfield developed strong on-screen chemistry, and their performances made the Peter-Gwen relationship central to both films. The sequel also draws on a famous storyline from Spider-Man comics involving Gwen’s fate, although the film adapts that material in its own way. Stone’s Gwen is often confused with Kirsten Dunst’s Mary Jane Watson, who was Peter’s principal love interest in the earlier trilogy.
