Which actress played Galadriel in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings film trilogy?

Cate Blanchett played Galadriel in Peter Jackson’s film trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.

Blanchett portrayed Galadriel, the Elven Lady of Lothlórien, in The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. Galadriel gives the Fellowship gifts before its departure from Lothlórien and is associated with the power of Nenya, one of the Three Rings of the Elves.
