Which actor voices Desmond Miles in the original Assassin's Creed game?

Nolan North voices Desmond Miles in the original Assassin's Creed game.

Desmond is the modern-day protagonist whose genetic memories are explored using the Animus. North provided the character's voice performance in the first game, helping establish the contemporary framing story that connects the series' historical settings. Desmond's perspective gives the player a link between Altaïr's medieval missions and the modern conflict involving Abstergo Industries.

The series later used different prominent voice actors for other important characters. Roger Craig Smith voices Ezio Auditore in several games, while Michael Fassbender portrays a separate Assassin's Creed character in the 2016 film. Those casting facts are common sources of confusion, but North is specifically associated with Desmond's voice in the original game.
