Which actor voices Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in the original Assassin's Creed?
Answer
Philip Shahbaz
Answer
Philip Shahbaz
Philip Shahbaz voices Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in the original Assassin's Creed.
Shahbaz provided the English voice of Altaïr, the Syrian Assassin who serves as the game's principal historical protagonist. Altaïr's missions take place during the Third Crusade, while his memories are accessed in the modern day by Desmond Miles through the Animus.
The voice credit can be confused with other actors in the franchise. Roger Craig Smith voices Ezio Auditore in several games, including Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations. Michael Fassbender played Callum Lynch in the 2016 Assassin's Creed film, not Altaïr in the original game.
Altaïr's character was also modeled using the performance of actor and stunt performer Francisco Randez, who served as a visual reference. That separate contribution is one reason the voice actor and the face or motion reference are sometimes incorrectly treated as the same person.
