Nolan North provides the voice of Desmond Miles in the original Assassin's Creed game.
Desmond is the modern-day character who is forced to use the Animus to experience the memories of his ancestor Altaïr. North's performance voices Desmond's modern scenes, which frame the historical gameplay and establish the series' ongoing conflict between the Assassins and Templars.
Nolan North is a prolific voice actor known for roles across games, animation, and film. In the Assassin's Creed franchise, he continued voicing Desmond in later entries that expanded the character's role.
Roger Craig Smith is strongly associated with Ezio Auditore, especially in Assassin's Creed II and related games. Michael Fassbender played Callum Lynch in the 2016 Assassin's Creed film, while Troy Baker voiced other video-game characters and is not Desmond's original voice.
