Nolan North provides the voice of Desmond Miles in the Assassin's Creed series.
Desmond Miles is the modern-day character whose genetic memories are explored through the Animus. North voiced Desmond in the original Assassin's Creed and in several subsequent major entries, including Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, Revelations, and Assassin's Creed III. Desmond's modern storyline connects the historical adventures across those games.
Nolan North is an American voice actor known for extensive work in video games, animation, and film. His other notable game roles include Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series and Deadpool in several game projects. His work as Desmond helped give the modern-day sections a consistent voice across the early Assassin's Creed arc.
A frequent mix-up involves confusing Desmond's voice actor with actors who played later protagonists. Roger Craig Smith voiced Ezio Auditore, while Michael Fassbender played Callum Lynch in the 2016 Assassin's Creed film. Troy Baker also appears prominently in games, but he is not Desmond's principal voice performer.
