Which actor portrays Lucas Sinclair in Stranger Things?

Caleb McLaughlin portrays Lucas Sinclair in Stranger Things. Lucas is one of the original four friends at the center of the series, alongside Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, and Will Byers.

Lucas begins as a practical, skeptical member of the group, particularly wary of Eleven when she first appears. His caution gradually becomes a strength: he investigates Hawkins Lab, helps protect Will, and repeatedly takes decisive action against threats from the Upside Down. He is also the older brother of Erica Sinclair and develops a relationship with Max Mayfield.

McLaughlin had already performed professionally before Stranger Things, including playing young Simba in the Broadway musical The Lion King. The series became his breakthrough television role. A frequent mix-up is assigning Lucas to Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin, or Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike. In season 4, Lucas’s basketball-team storyline places him between school popularity and loyalty to his friends.
