Which actor portrays Hughie Campbell in The Boys?
Answer
Jack Quaid
Answer
Jack Quaid
Jack Quaid portrays Hughie Campbell in The Boys. His version of Hughie is one of the series’ central characters and a founding member of the vigilante group opposing Vought’s superhero empire.
Quaid’s Hughie begins as an ordinary electronics-store employee whose girlfriend, Robin, is accidentally killed by the speedster A-Train. Billy Butcher recruits him into The Boys, turning Hughie’s grief and anger into a personal fight against the Supes. Over time, he becomes the group’s moral center while still learning to survive violence, manipulation, and Compound V.
The character originated in Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic series, where Hughie is Scottish and visually modeled after actor Simon Pegg. The television adaptation changes him into an American character. Pegg appears in the show as Hughie’s father, while Quaid plays the younger lead. A common mix-up is confusing Quaid with Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher, or Tomer Capone, who plays Frenchie.
