Which actor plays Owen Grady in Jurassic World?

Chris Pratt plays Owen Grady in Jurassic World. Owen is a Navy veteran, ethologist, and Velociraptor handler who studies Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo on Isla Nublar.

Jurassic World marked Pratt’s shift from mainly comic roles into a major action-adventure lead. Before the film, audiences knew him especially as Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation and as Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy. Director Colin Trevorrow cast him after being impressed by his work in Zero Dark Thirty.

Owen is sometimes confused with other major Jurassic Park characters. Bryce Dallas Howard plays Claire Dearing, the park’s operations manager, while Jeff Goldblum plays mathematician Ian Malcolm and Sam Neill plays paleontologist Alan Grant. Pratt returned as Owen in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World Dominion, continuing the character’s relationship with the raptor Blue and with Claire.
