Which actor plays Morgan Jones?

Lennie James plays Morgan Jones in The Walking Dead television series.

Morgan is one of the first survivors Rick Grimes meets after waking from his coma. Morgan and his son Duane shelter in Rick’s hometown, where Morgan explains the outbreak and helps Rick understand the changed world. Their early meeting gives Rick crucial information before he leaves to search for his family and Atlanta.

James first appeared as Morgan in the series premiere, “Days Gone Bye.” Morgan later returns in season 3’s “Clear,” a major episode showing how grief and isolation have affected him after Duane’s death. He eventually becomes a more disciplined survivor, learning aikido from Eastman and using a staff rather than relying only on firearms.
