Which actor plays Jason's friend Steven "Pillboi" Peleaz?

Jason's friend Steven “Pillboi” Peleaz is played by Eugene Cordero. Pillboi is Jason Mendoza's closest friend and partner in crime in The Good Place.

Pillboi initially appears as part of Jason's old life in Jacksonville, Florida, where the two men are associated with petty criminal schemes. After arriving in the afterlife, Jason, Tahani, and Michael try to steer Pillboi away from crime and toward a more constructive life in elder care.

The character's nickname is a playful contrast with his eventual job: “Pillboi” suggests criminality, while his reformed path involves caring for elderly people. A common mix-up is confusing Cordero with other ensemble performers such as Manny Jacinto, who plays Jason, or William Jackson Harper, who plays Chidi.

Cordero also appeared in television comedies including Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. In The Good Place, he played Pillboi across six episodes between 2016 and 2020.
